.TRAVEL is a Top Level Domain name extension, approved by ICANN.
.Travel TLD is focused on providing a separate identity for the travel and tourism community.

.Travel Policy changes: From dec 21th, 2007 all place names became available for registration by eligible applicants. Also, it is no longer necessary to prior approval process for domains selected for registration.
It is still necessary, though, for registrants to be authenticated by an authentication provider, as industry member
of one of the 20 sectors.
As of Jan 1st 2008, domain names under .travel must show a travel content related to the domain name. The registry may validate and approve that eligibility.

Who is eligible to register a .Travel domain name ?
Any entity, a business, an organization or an individual whose their primary activity belongs to the following categories of the travel industry is eligible to register a name.

Which names can be registered ?
.Travel is restricted to registration of names related to the entity who is the owner of those names. Therefore only names that are Incorporation (legal) Name/Partnership Name/Individual Name Doing Business as; Trade Name; or; Usual Business Name; or Usual Business , or
Name as used in a URL, Trade Mark, Service Mark, Club or Association Name, Vessel Name, Competition/Event Name, Division Name, or Subsidiary Name, can be registered for its owner.

Authenticating Providers
All registrants in .Travel must be verified as eligible to hold a .Travel domain name according to criteria established by the .Travel registry.
Verification of eligibility is referred to as the Authentication. The authentication will be carried out by the Registry with the support of industry associations or an independent authenticating organization.
These supporting bodies are referred to as Authentication Providers. Authentication Providers will carry out authentication for all .Travel registrations.
All registrants must select an Authentication Provider. In the case of industry associations that are acting as Authentication Providers, a registrant must be a member of the association in order for them to carry out the authentication process. In all other cases the third party authentication provider will be able to carry out authentication, ensuring that any party can be authenticated.
It is recommended that you choose the Authenticating Provider of which you are associated with.

How to register :
The first step to register your .travel name is the Authentication process by one of the Authenticating Providers mentioned above. To facilitate this process you can download a Guide to .travel Authentication.
After completion of the Authentication process , please contact us again using the Code you have received as a confirmation from the Authenticating Provider along with list of approved domains you wish to register.
